Photography is a way of life...

A Bit About Myself: I have lived in Prince George, British Columba, Canada for over thirty-five years, am married and retired. I enjoy: spending time kayaking, camping, gardening, playing guitar and exploring BC with my husband. Most of all though, is my love of photography....it's rare to see me without a camera in my hands if I'm out and about.

I spend a lot of time outdoors and in the summer I go kayaking as much as possible. My preference in a photography genre is definitely more in wildlife than anything else. Although I do love capturing images of beautiful landscapes and flowers etc., I'm just naturally drawn more to nature and wildlife.

And then I have my artistic side. Once I have my images and I'm working in post-production, I use those images to create everything from card making, calendars, photo-art, compilation photography and everything in-between.

Wherever I go, I tend to see things as shapes, and not necessarily as the subject in front of me. Because I do compilation photography as well as create colouring books, I look at things and think "how can I alter that subject, and what can I make that into?"

Photography is a way of life for me and it's difficult to shut my mind off and not think about different ways to be creative.

About my artistry as a photographer...

I am a self-taught artist in many disciplines, from jewelry making to fabric sculptures, to compilation photo-art and photography. I am an accomplished graphic artist and use those skills to transform some of my photographs into artistic drawings that can then be coloured in.

As well as photographing such things as wildlife, nature, landscape, flowers and much, much more, I've added a new direction to my artistic journey by creating colouring books. For that, I've taken photographs of various locations, subjects and objects, then using those photos, drew them, added a description or story to go along with each drawing and compiled them into colouring books.

In this website you will see all the photography I do broken down into specific categories, as well as catagories for the images that I used to make my colouring books.

To date, I have created three colouring books and am always working on the next one. My colouring books are available to purchase from this site, from various vendors in Prince George, as well as from me directly.

Under the heading of Colouring Books, I've included sample drawing from each of my three books.
